This manufacturing website case study explains how I created a custom WordPress website for Green Extrusion Technology, a Denmark-based company that builds laboratory extruders, compact extruders and plastics recycling machines.

Business context

Industrial machinery buyers compare technical specifications, applications and support before they ask for a quote. A manufacturer’s website has to organise a broad product range so each type of buyer reaches the right machines quickly, and it has to explain the technology well enough to build trust before the first conversation.

Project and implementation details

  • Platform: WordPress with a custom theme

Brief, decisions and outcome

The brief

Green Extrusion Technology, based in Denmark, builds laboratory extruders, compact extruders, granulators and shredders for plastics and bioplastics. The brief was a website that presents a technical machine range clearly to laboratories, engineers and production buyers, explains the technology behind the machines and makes it easy to ask for a quotation.

What was delivered

— Custom WordPress theme built for the site
— Product catalogue organised by family: LabEx laboratory extruders (mono-layer, ABA, 3-layer, blown film unit, custom-built lines), compact extruders, repelletizing, granulators, shredders, and accessories and parts
— Know How knowledge centre with five topic categories
— Newsletter signup page
— About, Sustainability, Contact and legal pages
— Responsive layout for desktop, tablet and mobile

Key decisions

— Grouped the machines by product family so a laboratory buyer and a recycling buyer each reach their range in one click from the Products menu.
— Added a Know How centre (extrusion technology, polymers and materials, granulators and shredders, recycling and repelletizing, industry news and events) so the site can answer technical questions, not only list machines.
— Kept the phone number, newsletter and LinkedIn in a top bar and a clear Contact button in the main navigation so a quotation request is always one step away.
— Built on a custom WordPress theme so the layout matches the brand and stays light.

Outcome

The finished website is live at green-extrusion.eu, with the full product range, the Know How centre, newsletter signup and contact flow in place. Leads and sales figures are not published, so this case study describes the scope that shipped rather than performance figures.
